PepsiCo is collaborating with Salesforce to deploy Agentforce, Salesforce's digital labor platform for autonomous AI agents, according to a press release. This initiative aims to enhance PepsiCo's field operations, customer support and operational efficiency, marking a significant step in the company's AI strategy.
Through this partnership, PepsiCo plans to leverage AI agents to manage various key functions. The collaboration is expected to streamline go-to-market and business-to-business processes by unifying data from diverse sources into comprehensive customer profiles using Salesforce's Data Cloud. It will also provide real-time inventory visibility to field service representatives via Consumer Goods Cloud, and enable faster, more responsive customer service through an integration with Service Cloud, where humans and AI agents will collaborate. Additionally, Marketing Cloud will be used to analyze consumer data for more targeted, automated marketing campaigns.
"AI is reshaping our business in ways that were once unimaginable," Ramon Laguarta, chairman and CEO of PepsiCo, said in the release. "This collaboration with Salesforce is another step toward a more connected and adaptive PepsiCo — deploying AI to unlock smarter and faster decision-making, fuel innovation, and power sustainable growth."
PepsiCo is among the first major food and beverage companies to implement Agentforce at scale and is also integrating a Trade Promotion Management tool to further optimize operations and strengthen retail relationships.
