PepsiCo will accelerate its transition to natural ingredients across its snack portfolio, including brands like Cheetos and Doritos, according to a News Dakota report.
PepsiCo plans to have "all the portfolio into natural colors or at least provide the consumer with natural color options" within the next couple of years, Ramon Laguarta, PepsiCo CEO told the news outlet. "Every consumer will have the opportunity to choose what they prefer."
This decision comes amid increasing consumer demand and recent pressure from the White House, with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announcing the department's desire for food companies to voluntarily remove or replace commonly used synthetic colors by the end of 2026.
