PepsiCo Beverages to open Georgia facility, add 50 jobs

PepsiCo Beverages North America, a division of PepsiCo Inc., will open an $8.5 million, 172,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution facility in Commerce, Georgia, according to a press release.

The center will create 50 jobs, including product pickers, forklift operators, drivers, inventory specialists and checkers. It will distribute almost 6 million cases of beverages — including Pepsi, MTN Dew, Gatorade, bubly, Aquafina and Pure Leaf — per year across 26 routes to customers in 28 counties, including Gainesville, Rome, Athens, Stone Mountain and Atlanta.

This announcement builds on the $260 million expansion of the manufacturing facility in the city of Tucker announced earlier this year, now resulting in over 425 new jobs.
