PepsiCo Inc. has completed its acquisition of Siete Foods, a leading producer of better-for-you Mexican-inspired foods, for $1.2 billion, according to a press release.
This acquisition aligns with PepsiCo's strategy to expand its portfolio of healthier and more convenient food and beverage options. Siete Foods offers a range of products, including grain-free tortillas, enchilada sauces and tortilla chips.
"We're excited to welcome Siete Foods to the PepsiCo family," Steven Williams, CEO of PepsiCo North America, said in the release. "Siete's focus on authentic flavors and high-quality ingredients perfectly complements our existing portfolio."
This acquisition follows PepsiCo's recent acquisitions of brands like PopCorners, Bare and Sabra, demonstrating the company's continued focus on expanding its presence in the growing market for healthier and more convenient food options.
