AUSTIN, TX -- An interactive vending machine with a 3D fortuneteller is engaging users through Kinect technology at this week's South by Southwest music festival. In addition to giving out Pepsi beverages and witty fortunes, the vender offers users a chance to win VIP invites, Pepsi prizes and access to exclusive experiences.
For the seventh consecutive year, Pepsi Beverages North America is the official carbonated soft drink partner of SXSW. It runs Mar. 13-22 in Austin.
"In addition to fun and refreshing sampling experiences throughout the entire festival, this year, we are turning over the reins to festivalgoers by offering interactive brand experiences designed to engage consumers on a new level," said PBNA chief marketing officer Simon Lowden.
At last year's SXSW, festivalgoers were invited inside a five-story-tall Doritos vending machine stage that put the brand in the limelight.
