Pepsi to replace Sierra Mist with new drink ‘Starry’

While discontinuing Sierra Mist, Pepsi Cola is not giving up on the lemon-lime soda category dominated by Coca-Cola owned Sprite, according to a CNN report. This week, it's replacing 24-year-old Sierra Mist with Starry, a caffeine-free drink that will be available with and without sugar.

Pepsi's research indicated demand for lemon-lime flavored soda is stronger than ever.

A Pepsi spokesperson told CNN that Starry citrus flavors are "true to fruit" and more aromatic than Sierra Mist.
