PORTLAND, OR -- PayRange Inc. said it has reached a milestone with the signing of its 1,000th operator. The mobile payment provider said it has operators throughout all 50 states and across Canada and is adding new vending and amusement operators every week.
"We're excited that operators are recognizing that vending and amusement consumers are changing rapidly and that they find the PayRange platform is a solution to their needs," said chief executive Paresh Patel. "The millennial generation doesn't like to carry cash or coin and this generation is the one most likely to use the machines if it wasn't for the payment barrier to completing the purchase."
The PayRange solution enables cashless payment without requiring any network connection on the machine. Operators install the Blukey Bluetooth Low Energy device to enable their machine for mobile payments. Consumers then use the PayRange app to make purchases from the machine by using their smartphones.
