Patterson Co Acquires Suchart Vend Brokerage

NORTHBROOK, IL -- Patterson Co. Inc. said it has acquired Suchart Vend Brokerage. The agreement is set to take effect on Nov.1.

Keith Bottorff, a 25-year veteran broker, purchased Suchart Vend Brokerage from its founder, the late Bill Suchart, in 1991. Based in Overland Park, KS, the product sales specialist serves Kansas and Missouri, and parts of Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Patterson Co.'s James Patterson, Jr. said his company will retain all of Suchart's employees; Bottorff will remain during the transition period. Northbrook, IL-based Patterson Co. also said it will keep open Suchart's Overland Park, KS, office for the near term as it evaluates the needs of the market.

Patterson Co. explained that the synergies between the two companies will benefit customers with "a full complement of lines represented across the marketplace" and that their long histories and well-established reputations will make for a seamless transition for customers and suppliers.
