Parlevel has released Cater, a checkout solution that enables campus and restaurant food providers to create a convenient ordering experience for customers, according to a press release.
Cater consists of a self-checkout kiosk for easy ordering, a mobile app for purchasing on the go and order ahead, a kitchen display system that helps staff efficiently tackle orders, and a campus dashboard to help managers make informed decisions.
Cater's self-checkout kiosk uses a touchscreen that displays menus of all food and beverage providers in a location. From the kiosk, customers can select an item through the touchscreen, or they can scan a product barcode for grab and go. Once items have been ordered, an RFID badge reader allows for login to their personal account to pay via preloaded funds. Or, a customer can pay through a payment terminal. The payment is confirmed through physical or virtual receipt.
Using the app, customers can see the cafeteria offerings on their phone, select items, check prices, customize orders, pay and schedule a pickup time. Upon order completion, the Cater app will let customers know when their order is ready at the counter.
A meal modifier dashboard pitches add-ons to end-users while a menu display highlights popular items.
The kitchen display system lets managers monitor orders via a smart timer, prioritize orders and measure staff performance. The campus manager dashboard provides access to analytics and reports to check sales, identify trends and see daily deposits.
