ORLANDO, FL - Player One Amusement Group reports that it will host the Randy Fromm Arcade School for game technicians at its headquarters here from Sept. 18 through 21.
The four-day course covers beginning electronics for amusement technicians, including the use of a digital multimeter for trouble-shooting, identifying electronic components and reading schematic diagrams. It then goes into detail about diodes, transistors and other semiconductors, and provides a hands-on "transistor test lab." The third day covers soldering techniques and power supplies, and the fourth provides an overview of LCD monitor repair.
Tuition for the program is $895 per person. This includes a digital multimeter, a soldering kit, sample components and a textbook. Lunch will be provided each day.
