Otis Spunkmeyer and the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation have teamed up to combat food insecurity in the U.S.
The campaign, which focuses on supporting vulnerable populations, especially children, is being spearheaded by Major League Baseball outfielder Jason Heyward, according to a press release.
For every qualifying case of Otis Spunkmeyer cookies sold to Sodexo-managed or Entegra operators in September, the company will donate $3 to the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation. The proceeds will be used to provide nutritious food to those in need.
Heyward, who is featured in the public service announcement below, emphasized the importance of addressing hunger. "Hunger is a reality for millions of Americans," he said in the release. "By teaming up with Otis Spunkmeyer and the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation, I'm helping to ensure that every child has access to food."
Roxanne Moore, executive director of the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation, said the campaign aims to empower communities and make a real difference. "With Otis Spunkmeyer and Jason Heyward on board, we're rallying people across the country to join us in this critical mission," she said.
