A vending machine installed in Brantford, Ontario is providing residents with low-barrier access to a wide range of harm-reduction supplies, according to a CTV News report.

Using the vending machine's touchscreen interface, people needing health and harm reduction supplies can access free items like HIV self-test kits, meth pipes, naloxone, crack kits, condoms and more.

"Our community, like many across the province, has been struggling with opioid use and the impacts of that," Kim Baker, SOAR Community Service's executive director of services, told the news outlet. "We are higher than the provincial average in terms of hospital visits, overdose and deaths related to substance use."

The vending machine is available during SOAR business hours Monday through Friday and all day on weekends and holidays.
