Okanagan College gets 24/7 pizza vending machine

Okanagan College students and staff now have access to hot, freshly made pizza around the clock, thanks to the installation of a Pizzaforno vending machine at the Skaha Place student residence, according to a Castanet report.

The machine, which opened Feb. 25th, is the first of its kind in the Okanagan region. It allows users to customize their pizzas, which are then prepared and cooked in approximately three minutes. Ayush Pal, a former Okanagan College student and the owner of the Kelowna Pizzaforno location, brought the concept to campus, fulfilling his own desire for a quick and convenient pizza option.

The machine, part of a Toronto-based franchise, utilizes robotics to cook pizzas stored in an on-site refrigerator, and will be restocked regularly.
