NYC launches vending machine with fresh eggs, meat, produce

NYC non-profit Change Food For Good just installed its first free food vending machine. Located at Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club in the Bronx, the vending machine will be stocked with free grocery items like fruits and veggies, eggs and more, according to a goodgoodgood.co article.

The items come from local vendors or co-ops as well.

"All you need to do is walk up to the machine, select your item, let it vend and remove it from the chute," Change Food For Good shared in a caption.

Guests can hit a QR code for requests they want to see in the vending machine.

"A lot of thought and research went into this process to make sure we can do this right," Samia Lemfadli, the organization's founder said in a social media video.
