NuZee names VPs for business development, sales

NuZee Inc., a producer and co-packer of single-serve pour-over coffee pouches and tea bag style coffee, announced two hires to its sales team; Kathleen Schartner, vice president of business development, and Marie Franklin, vice president of sales, North and West Coast, according to a press release.

Schartner will be responsible for expanding and distributing NuZee's product offerings to the hospitality industry, gaming, grocery channel and college and universities. She recently managed the foodservice sales team at Farmer Brothers.

Franklin brings experience in coffee importing, roasting, retailing, sales and marketing at brands like Umbria Coffee Roasters, Sustainable Harvest, Portland Coffee Roasters and Seattle's Torrefazione Italia.
