North Carolina restaurant chef expands into food vending

Vivian Howard, a chef at the Chef & Farmer restaurant in Kinston, North Carolina, has installed refrigerated vending machines to sell her prepared meals called "Viv's Fridge" in Kinston, Emerald Isle, Goldsboro, Raleigh and New Bern North Carolina, according to a witn.com report.

The holiday menus feature Howard's Party Magnet cheeseballs, sausage biscuits with rosemary gravy, and sweet potato and winter green chowder.

Prices range from $20 to $65.

Howard said she came up with the idea for the machines when the restaurant closed during the pandemic.
