No expansion for Vermont bottle bill

Vermont lawmakers recently failed to override Gov. Phil Scott's veto of a bill to expand the state's bottle deposit law, according to the National Automatic Merchandising Association weekly legislative report.

The bill would have made more beverages eligible for a 5-cent deposit, including coffee, water, juices, sports drinks and hard cider.
