The New Jersey Attractions Association has urged members to contact lawmakers to support the J-1 visa programs to enable embassies to process visas for students to participate in summer work programs, which the association deems important to amusement parks and attraction, according to a press release.
The association has provided a letter that members can use that asks lawmakers to urge the U.S. State Department to resume J-1 visa processing immediately. The letter noted that many embassies are closed on account of the pandemic and a Presidential Proclamation to deny visas or refuse to schedule applicant interviews even though the proclamation was enjoined by a federal court.
