An Auckland, New Zealand entrepreneur has developed a vending machine that serves freshly prepared food, such as granola slices, chia pods, salads, raw slices and more, according to an idealog.c.nz report.
The Nature's Fridge kiosk features a touchscreen listing the ingredients and nutrition information for each item.
Louis Fraysse and his team order the food the day before it is prepared and placed in the machine, served in reusable plastic jars that customers can return at a collection point next to the machine.
No meal remains in the machine more than 25 hours.
Fraysse tested a machine at the University of Auckland two weeks before the coronavirus lockdown and found the machine sold out within three hours daily.
The company has five prototype machines across Auckland.
