New York to ban tobacco in vending machines in state government buildings

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has signed a law (A1025/S50) to ban tobacco sales in vending machines in New York State buildings, according to a press release.

The prohibition will apply to new leases and contracts with vendors. This legislation makes the public buildings law consistent with other state laws and policies regarding tobacco sales, according to the press release.
