New York State seeks input on blind services vending RFPs

The New York State Office of Children and Family Services, Commission for the Blind, Business Enterprise Program, is seeking input from qualified parties regarding the preparation of requests for proposals and statewide restructuring of the agency's third party vending program.

The goals in issuing this request for information are to:

• Identify strategies for structuring and/or implementing a regional based contracting model for vending and micro market contracts.
• Identify ideas on how to structure an RFP to make the transition to a regional based contracting model for vending and micro market contracts.
• Identify potential challenges and/or roadblocks related to the regional based contracting model for vending and micro market contracts.
• Identify regional considerations that might be relevant to the regional based contracting model for vending and micro market contracts.

The requested information includes a form identifying the responded as either a vending operators, a consumer or an interested party, along with 25 questions to answer.

Responses are due by June 25, 2021.
