Arcade and indoor amusement center operators are suing New York State for not allowing them to reopen on account of COVID-19, according to a Newsday report.
The state has allowed casinos, bowling alleys, gyms and movie theaters to reopen according to the suit filed in the state Supreme Court in Onondaga County.
Plaintiffs, which include 45 companies, claim the state has offered no guidance for reopening their businesses.
David Wolmetz, co-owner of the Urban Air Adventure Park franchise in Lake Grove, said the plaintiffs did not want to file a lawsuit but feel they are being ignored.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office did not respond to requests for comment Wednesday.
