CHESSINGTON, Surrey, UK - The latest version of Sega's leading racing game, Daytona Championship USA, has made its debut in the western hemisphere. Described by Sega as the ultimate arcade racer, the game is now available in a brand-new Motion Super Deluxe four-player "attraction" cabinet. The new Daytona Championship USA was launched at the opening of the latest Lucky Strike Social in Wrigleyville (Chicago, IL), a new entertainment center in the Addison and Clark complex south of storied Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs. The Wrigleyville location offers an eight-lane bowling alley, food and beverages, and more than 100 games across 30,000 sq. ft.
The new Sega racing game features a pivot motion platform to drive the immersive racing experience to its limits. Designed for high quality and reliability, this motion system propels players from side to side, creating the sensation of acceleration g-force. The technology lets players experience the full force of drifting, crashing and over-taking as they never have before.
Daytona Championship USA delivers responsive handling, force-feedback steering, and natural-feeling "catchup" that combine to create the sensation of being on the racetrack. Players get to challenge their friends on six high-octane. New cars (auto or manual drive) and new game modes combine to make Daytona Championship USA an appealing arcade game for players old and new.
Every aspect of the super deluxe motion attraction four-player cabinet has been designed to heighten players' sense of driving each time they take their seats. The authentic dashboard features real working dials, buttons and instruments that complement the on-track action. The dash also features a classic four-speed manual gearshift, further enhancing the experience. Combined with high-resolution graphics unfolding on huge 65" HD LED screens, the new Daytona Championship USA provides an electrifying, immersive gameplay experience.
According to Sega, Daytona Championship USA's tournament mode is revolutionary, and the customization options in the operator settings make it a very operator-friendly racing game. An "instant rematch" feature encourages repeat play by getting players right back into the race, on the same track and in the same car. A fully-lit super marquee changes color with the game, dazzling patrons in any location, while the "live TV" inspired Spectator Video Billboards, allows spectators to see players reactions in real time.
The new installation of Sega's Daytona Championship USA Motion Super Deluxe in the Lucky Strike Social Wrigleyville in Chicago is said to be extra special, as it features four extra spectator monitors for impressive eye appeal.
