Organizers said the machine sold out each week during its first three weeks of operation, highlighting strong community demand for free healthcare supplies.

Advocates said they hope to expand the vending machine program into rural Louisiana communities, though organizers acknowledged challenges including funding, restocking costs and finding host locations willing to support the initiative. Group leaders described the project as a temporary solution to broader healthcare access problems they say have worsened under increasingly restrictive reproductive healthcare policies.
