ELMHURST, IL -- December 1, 2015 -- Kellogg's Specialty Channels website was a Food Industry Standard of Excellence winner in the 2015 WebAward, an international competition organized annually by the Web Marketing Association. The Standard of Excellence Award was presented to Kellogg's for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development for the new Kellogg's Specialty Channels website: KelloggsSpecialtyChannels.com.

The WebAwards competition highlights entries from around the world that show impressive creativity and functionality. This year's WebAward contest included over 1,500 entries from 40 countries in 96 industry categories. The food category is competitive and the Kellogg's site was recognized as among the best in its category. Entries were judged across seven criteria, including design, innovation, content, technology, copywriting, and ease of use.

Kellogg's Specialty Channels compete in various categories across away-from-home channels, with foodservice representing the largest segment. "These operators and managers do not have a lot of time and are looking for a fast way to get valuable information," said Jennifer Davis, Manager Marketing Communications, Kellogg's Specialty Channels. Kellogg's leveraged the expertise of Miron Communications to design the new website with function and ease of use as priorities. The site is user friendly and has clear tabs for products, recipes, promotions, and tools. Davis added, "With just a few clicks, foodservice operators have access to product details, incentives, planograms, profit calculators, everything they need to stay competitive and satisfy the needs of their customers and guests. We've seen many operators improve their merchandising, add menu items, and utilize the calculators to maximize their profit potential, proving the success of the new website."

"We are proud of this recognition and want to encourage all of our foodservice operators to use this business resource on a regular basis," stated Jennifer Davis.
