New Jersey closes malls, amusement parks, rec centers

The New Jersey Attractions Association has alerted its members that Gov. Phil Murphy on Tuesday ordered all indoor malls, amusement parks and recreation centers to close for the duration of the coronavirus crisis as of 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to an email.

The closures include the newly opened American Dream Mall/Theme Park/Water Park in the Meadowlands.

The governor on Monday announced a voluntary 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew, a ban on events with more than 50 attendees and the closure of movie theaters, gyms and bars.
