New Hampshire is considering a law to require bottled water companies to test for and remove PFAS contaminants, according to a msn.com report.

Rep. Renny Cushing, a Hampton Democrat and sponsor of the bill, called the Safe Bottled Water Drinking Act, said existing drinking water standards should extend to bottled water.

The International Bottled Water Association said the law would make it hard for companies to provide needed bottled water products during natural disasters in a state that has standards that are different from those required by FDA.
