PHILADELPHIA --
AMI Entertainment Network is conducting a contest to celebrate the release of Michael Bublé's latest album,
Love (the title is an ideograph, or emoji, styled as a bright red heart). The grand prize in the drawing is a pack of seven Bublé albums:
It's Time, Call Me Irresponsible, Crazy Love, Christmas, To Be Loved, and
Nobody But Me. Each runner-up will receive a copy of Love.
The Canadian singer is an international favorite, having sold more than 75 million records worldwide. Bublé fans, and other music-lovers desiring to become more familiar with his work, can enter the contest using the AMI music app (available for iOS and Android devices) or by visiting any AMI jukebox. The app may be downloaded for free. The contest also can be entered by visiting any AMI jukebox. It will run through Dec. 5.
AMI Entertainment Network is descended from Automatic Musical Instrument Co. The company, which originated as a manufacturer of player pianos, introduced its first jukebox in 1927: the National Automatic Selective Phonograph. This accommodated 10 78-rpm records, and was the first coin phonograph that could play both sides, doubling the selections.
