Networld Media Group, a business-to-business media communications company specializing in digital media, associations and events in the tech, banking, retail and food service industries, has acquired Vending Times.
The Vending Times website boasts more than 15,000 qualified, opt-in subscribers and provides original business, legal, legislative and regulatory news on the entire vending industry. Content topics include refreshment vending, foodservice, mobile food and beverage, bulk confection and novelty vending. VendingTimes.com also covers place-based amusement and music trends in commercial environments, universities, hospitals, secondary schools, airports, stadiums, hotels and motels, restaurants and taverns, and family entertainment centers.
Other audience constituencies include manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, equipment brokers, vending product and service providers, managers of vending and food services for commercial, industrial, and institutional organizations, and industry association executives.
"Vending Times is a perfect addition to our website portfolio as we continue to strengthen our tech, retail, and restaurant groups," said Networld CEO Tom Harper. "Not only does vending intersect with all the verticals we already cover, it's an important part of today's customer experience trend-a key theme across all of our sites and events."
"Vending Times is a natural fit with our existing business sites and will allow us to offer added reach for advertisers," said Networld President and Publisher Kathy Doyle.
Web platform integration will occur rapidly over the next several weeks, Doyle added, "Current readers will benefit from additional original market coverage, while both existing and new advertisers will see innovative packages that extend their reach. We're also excited that Vending Times owner and brand director Alicia Lavay will be joining our team full-time."
"The synergies between Networld Media Group business sites and Vending Times are so strong that I am confident Vending Times will continue to thrive and cover the industry we serve with top-notch professionalism," said Lavay. "This merger allows us to present new opportunities for both readers and customers to grow and flourish."
