Nestle to close New Jersey coffee plant, cut 227 jobs

Nestle will close its Freehold, New Jersey instant coffee factory in November, impacting 227 jobs, according to a Freehold Patch report.

The company said it is utilizing global production facilities to support coffee-drinkers' needs and intends to further leverage its Araras, Brazil and Veracruz, Mexico sites.

The 75-year-old plant's required upgrades were major factors in closing the plant.
