Nestle Pure Life sale to Ice River Springs falls through

Nestlé Canada will not be selling its Nestle Pure Life products in Canada to Ice River Springs as planned due to regulatory approval issues, according to a press release.

The companies were not able to work through the government's regulatory approval process within Nestlé's set timeframe to allow for a sale.

The agreement was announced on July 2, and was always contingent upon efficient regulatory approval.

The company will explore strategic options, including a possible sale for the Nestlé Waters business in the U.S. and Canada.

The North American strategic review is expected to conclude by early 2021.
