Nestle acquires U.K. based direct-to-consumer health food maker

Nestlé SA is acquiring Mindful Chef, a U.K. based provider of a healthy recipe box and prepared frozen meals, according to a Yorkshire Post report.

The acquisition will boost Nestle's direct-to-consumer offerings in the U.K.and Ireland.

Mindful Chef is the official nutrition partner for the English Institute of Sport and has partnered with the British Heart Foundation to raise awareness about health diets.
