Nestle acquires major stake in Yfood

Nestle SA has acquired a 49.95% stake in Yfood, a direct-to-consumer food startup that provides meal replacement beverages, powders and nutrition bars, according to a globalvillagespace.com report.

The transaction values Yfood at €430 million ($469 million).

Yfood's co-founders Ben Kremer and Noël Bollmann will retain 50.05% of the shares and continue to oversee the business independently. Founded in Munich in 2017, Yfood has grown 100% per year and had €120 million ($131 million) in sales in 2022.
