PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL -- National Kiddie Rides has rolled out its latest offering from UK-based Jolly Roger. Candy Shop is a fiberglass-molded rack that holds a dozen bulk vending machines unified by an Edwardian storefront design.
The Edwardian style of architecture and furniture was popular during King Edward VII's reign, from 1901 to 1910. It is less ornate than Victorian styles, and boasts lighter and more cheerful elements, exemplified in Jolly Roger's new vending treatment depicted in green, a commonly used color of the period.
Measuring a compact 75" high x 91" wide x 19" deep, the Candy Shop takes up space comparable to a standard bulk vending rack with a similar number of heads. It incorporates a cutout that can accommodate an optional win-every-time candy crane, a bill validator or a locking door for secured storage.
Among the unit's features are individually metered Beaver Globe bulk venders, a single cashbox that collects coinage from all 12 heads and a bag dispenser for patron convenience. Manufactured in England, the ensemble is available with custom logos and colors to match location decor.
Based in Skegness, England, Jolly Roger (Amusement Rides) Ltd., which is primarily an operator and manufacturer of coin-op kiddie rides, has been a unit of the Photo-Me International group since 2005.
"The Candy Shop would go into any type of mall, ice cream shop or pizzeria that would like an upscale bulk vender," said National Kiddie Rides' A.J. Kress. "And it takes about the same amount of space as an average rack."
