National Confectioners Association Increases Space For 2016 Sweets And Snacks Expo

CHICAGO -- The National Confectioners Association said it will expand exhibit space for its next Sweets and Snacks Expo, scheduled for May 24-26. The addition of a second hall at Chicago's McCormick Place will increase the show's space by about 20%.

NCA said more than 130 new companies will occupy the new Skyline Hall, which is located across the concourse on the same level as the current West Hall at McCormick Place.

The 2015 Sweets and Snacks Expo drew 16,000 industry professionals from 90 countries. In 2016, more than 750 companies are expected to exhibit, compared with 630 companies in 2015.

A second knowledge center and the ceremony and showcase for NCA's Most Innovative New Products Awards program will be located in the new hall. The awards showcase will highlight the top 45 new items deemed to have potential to become bestsellers by the expo's Taste Panel. Showgoers will be able to use the show app to vote for their favorites.

Registration for Sweets and Snacks Expo 2016 will open in December.
