National Beverage Corp., a provider of sparkling waters, juices, energy drinks and carbonated soft drinks, improved both sales and earnings for the first quarter of 2021, according to a press release.

The company's net sales rose from $293.4 million in Q1 2020 to $311.7 million for the quarter ending July 31, 2021

Net income rose from $51.2 million to $53.8 million in the comparative quarters.

Both basic and diluted earnings per share rose from 55 cents to 58 cents in the comparative quarters.

The majority of the company's revenues were generated by sparkling water, juices and other "better-for-you" beverages, which the company attributed to the pandemic making consumers even more health-conscious.

The launch late last fiscal year of new LaCroix flavors of Beach Plum, Black Razzberry and Guava São Paulo were the company's most successful to date, according to the release.

The $311.7 million in quarterly revenue beat analyst expectations by $8.12 million while the 55-cent GAAP EPS of 58 cents beat expectations by 7 cents, according to Seeking Alpha.
Shares traded at $51.15 today against a 52-week range of $33.97 to $98.22.
