Lindsey Nelson, vice president of programs and services for the National Automatic Merchandising Association, has been recognized with the Association Forum's Association Professional Achievement Award as part of the forum's gala which features broad-based industry recognition.
The Association Professional Achievement Award is presented to an association professional member — not a chief executive officer — for exemplary service and outstanding accomplishments in association management.
Nelson, who previously was named one of the Association Forum's "40 under 40" honorees, has been in service to NAMA for eight years. During her tenure, which began with a role to spearhead the most comprehensive capital campaign to date for NAMA, she has been given positions of increasing responsibilities. In her current role, as a member of NAMA's senior management team, Nelson oversees several functional departments, including meeting and events, which organizes the association's signature events including the NAMA Show, Coffee Tea & Water Show and the NAMA Executive Forum.
"I am humbled by this recognition from my association peers and am grateful for the many opportunities I've had to give back to the profession that has given me so much," Nelson said in a press release.
The award will be presented at the Association Forum's Honors Gala, scheduled for June 18 in Chicago.
