CHICAGO --The National Automatic Merchandising Association's Women of the Industry (WIN) group will host a 4k Fun Run during this year's Coffee Tea & Water show in Washington, DC, Nov. 2-4.

The WIN Fun Run/Walk, to be held Tuesday, Nov. 3 from 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m., is a first for the industry. Honorary co-chairs Emily Jed of Vending Times and Emily Refermat of Automatic Merchandiser will kick off the race at the start line. The race begins and ends at The Gaylord National Resort, the CTW show hotel, and the rain date for the event is Wednesday, Nov. 4.

"As female industry leaders, WIN believes in spreading awareness on health and nutrition issues, including consumer choice and better-for-you options," said Heidi Chico, president of The Wittern Group and chair of the WIN Fun Run/Walk. "We encourage walkers, runners and volunteers of all levels to join us for a fun and healthy way to start the day at CTW."

A portion of the proceeds from the event will go towards the NAMA Foundation to benefit NAMA's FitPick nutrition program, which marks its 10th anniversary this year.

CTW participants who wish to take part in the Fun Run may register here. Registering by Oct. 15 will ensure receiving a t-shirt. On race day, the t-shirts will be available while supplies last.
