LAS VEGAS -- The National Automatic Merchandising Association is planning to unveil a forum for users of its Fit Pick healthy vending program at next week's OneShow here. Membership enrollment in Club Fit Pick is available at no cost to operators and other program users, including manufacturers of compliant products and themed machines.
NAMA said Club Fit Pick will eventually include an online element at fitpick.org, where users can ask questions and suggest answers.
Additionally, the first 150 participants at a special OneShow session, "The Snacking Story: Trends and Solutions for Vending and Refreshment Services" presented by David Grotto (Wednesday, April 22, 11:30 a.m.), will receive USB flash drives loaded with a Fit Pick overview "pitch deck," a nutrition information graphic, a poster and digital asset samples.
"We know that providing better-for-you choices to consumers at workplaces, universities, hospitals and public buildings can be a challenge -- a challenge made much easier with peer-to-peer information sharing," said NAMA vice-president of marketing and public relations Roni Moore.
The first step in joining the club is to take a Fit Pick survey here. Membership ribbons will also be available at the "Snacking Story" session for those who share a business card or get their badges scanned at the door.
