CHICAGO -- The National Automatic Merchandising Association's government affairs division is inviting all industry members to attend its first "NAMA Takes the Hill" event and make their voices heard in Washington. The fly-in will take place July 21 and 22.
NAMA Takes the Hill is chaired by vending operators Jeff Smith of All Star Services (Port Huron, MI) and Todd Elliott of Tomdra (Tucson, AZ). The event is designed to make the industry's presence known on Capitol Hill by educating members of Congress through first-hand stories from industry members about their impact within each congressional district.
NAMA senior vice-president of government affairs Eric Dell said education and training will be provided at the event for participants to ensure they are comfortable before meeting with their legislators.
