The National Automatic Merchandising Association has announced the recipients of its 2026 Industry Awards, recognizing individuals and companies that have made significant contributions to the convenience services sector.
The honorees will be recognized during the NAMA Show in Los Angeles this month. NAMA President and CEO Christine Cochran said the awards highlight organizations and leaders whose work has had a meaningful impact on both the industry and the communities it serves.
April Cathcart, chief operating officer of G&J Marketing and Sales, was named Industry Person of the Year. Cathcart has spent nearly two decades advancing how consumer brands engage with unattended retail, including leading strategy for Mars' U.S. convenience services business. She also serves on NAMA's board, contributing to initiatives focused on innovation and industry growth.
Seventh Wave Refreshments earned Operator of the Year honors for its rapid growth and modern approach to workplace refreshment services. Founded in 2020, the company has built its business around data-driven operations, updated merchandising strategies and smart equipment deployment. Under CEO Linda Saldaña and President Dave Carroll, Seventh Wave has emphasized customer partnerships and a people-first culture while expanding coffee, pantry and micro market offerings.
365 Retail Markets was named Allied Member of the Year for its role in supporting operators through technology and industry engagement. The company has developed an integrated platform spanning self-checkout, payments, inventory and analytics, helping operators modernize their businesses. Led by CEO Joe Hessling, a former NAMA board chair, the company has also remained active in industry education and association efforts, strengthening its position as a key partner within the convenience services ecosystem.
