CHICAGO – The National Automatic Merchandising Association is rolling out its "This is Convenience Services" video to industry members following its debut at its recent NAMA show general session at the Las Vegas (NV) convention center.

The video, which touts the role of convenience services in special moments, will make its public debut at NAMA's upcoming legislative Fly-In in Washington, DC, July 24-25, where industry members will show it to elected officials during their meetings on Capital Hill.

NAMA collaborated with the Creative Review Board to develop the video.  Comprised of industry leaders Jeff Smith, All Star Services (Port Huron, MI); Joe Hessling, 365 Retail Markets; Josh Rosenberg, Accent Food Services (Pflugerville, TX); Jim Carbone, Tradecraft Outfitters (Chicago, IL); Tom Steuber, Associated Services (San Leandro, CA); Craig Hesch, A.H. Management Group (Rolling Meadows, IL); Scott Corley, Coca-Cola Co.; and U-Select-It's Heidi Chico, the Creative Review Board provided overall operational guidance.

"This is an important next step as we continue to ignite the momentum of the rebranding of the industry," said NAMA board member and incoming chair Jeff Smith. "Our goal in undertaking this project is to help broaden the perspective of who we are as business leaders -- we are innovators, meeting the needs of our customers and adding value to their lives, everywhere they are. This video is an important tool in bringing this message to life."

Smith said NAMA is asking its members to add the floowing to their signature lines and websites: Take a Look: This is Convenience Services -- which links to the video.

He thanked Chicago's Tradecraft Outfitters and Canteen for providing locations for the video shoot, and Crane Merchandising Systems for providing the FitPick machine.  Onsite experts included Carbone, Crane Merchandising Systems' Michael McGregory, Canteen's Joe Pedro and A.H. Management Group's Linda Furlano.
