The National Automatic Merchandising Association has stated its opposition to proposed laws in Connecticut and Massachusetts to add regulations for vending machines in government buildings, according to the NAMA weekly legislative report.

The Connecticut bill, H.B. 5213, will prohibit the sale of single-use plastic water bottles in government buildings.

The Massachusetts bill, S.D. 979, will require 100% of vending machine products in government buildings to meet nutrition rules set by the public health commissioner.
