The National Automatic Merchandising Association has testified against a proposed Massachusetts bill that regulates plastics packages, according to a NAMA weekly legislative roundup.
The bill, H. 882, contains language that can be interpreted as banning all non-biodegradable/non-compostable food packaging to include mass produced and prepackaged food and beverage products. NAMA believes the measure would be unmanageable for its members.
The Massachusetts Vending Association and the New England Refreshment Services Association have also testified against the bill.
