On Thursday, March 4, the National Automatic Merchandising Association is inviting the convenience services industry to celebrate the third annual National Vending Day.
This year's #vendingday will focus on the contributions of convenience services over the last year to keep critical locations such as hospitals, police stations, fire houses, rest stops and manufacturing facilities stocked with necessary sustenance for the nation's front-line heroes, according to a press release.
"After a challenging year, NAMA is celebrating National Vending Day by honoring the dedicated men and women who keep the U.S. convenience services industry running," Carla Balakgie, NAMA's president and CEO, said in the release. "From the line pickers to machine technicians, route drivers to operations managers, convenience services employees went above and beyond to make sure that crucial locations operated uninterrupted when they were relied on most."
NAMA is encouraging operators to "Share Your Front-line Heroes" in a social media campaign highlighting the extraordinary work that operators have done to #fuelingthefrontLines during the COVID-19 pandemic. NAMA operator members who participate in the social media campaign will be automatically enrolled in raffle for one free registration to The NAMA Show and Coffee Tea & Water — Together in 2021.
A social media toolkit is available on the NAMA website at www.namanow.org/vendingday.
