CHICAGO -- The National Automatic Merchandising Association said its charitable and education wing is accepting scholarship applications for the next Executive Development Program at Michigan State University (Lansing). The EDP, designed for vending industry executives, will take place Oct. 23-27 and the NAMA Foundation will award three scholarships for this fall's program.

Applications will be accepted through July 1. To be eligible, the applicant must be a full-time employee of a NAMA member company; hold the position of a senior-level manager or higher; and provide a superior's letter of recommendation. Judges will reportedly look favorably upon applicants who have been involved in the convenience services industry for five years or more.

Scholarships cover program registration fees, valued at $3,375, and $500 in travel expenses. Click here to apply.

Established in 1982, the NAMA Foundation is a nonprofit group focused exclusively on charitable, educational and scientific endeavors for the advancement of the vending industry. Peter Tullio of Gourmet Coffee Service (Van Nuys, CA) is the foundation's chairman.
