NAMA cancels 2020 show in Nashville

March 23, 2020

The National Automatic Merchandising Association has canceled its 2020 show planned for May 6-8 at Music City Center in Nashville, NAMA President and CEO Carla Balakgie advised members via email.

The state of emergency declared by Nashville Mayor John Cooper, the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that Americans cancel or postpone events of 10 or more people for the next eight weeks, and President Trump's admonition against gatherings of more than 10 people were all cited as reasons for the decision.

Those who are already registered will receive separate, specific instructions with guidance on registration and housing; similar guidance is also being issued to exhibitors, the notice advised.
