CHICAGO -- The National Automatic Merchandising Association has added a night tour of Washington, DC's famous monuments to the agenda for its upcoming NAMA Takes the Hill event.

Taking place on July 20 and 21, NAMA Takes the Hill will bring members of the vending and refreshment services industry to Washington to meet with their legislators and stress the importance of the industry in each congressional district. The goal is to make the industry's presence known on Capitol Hill and educate members of Congress on the industry through first-hand stories from industry leaders about their impact within each congressional district.

"We are so thankful to all the Fly-In participants who are taking time out of their very busy schedules to come to DC and advocate on behalf of the industry," said NAMA senior vice-president of government affairs Eric Dell. "We want to make attendees' time in our nation's capital special, and are excited to provide this unique opportunity to see some of Washington's most famous monuments and learn the history behind them."

Fly-In participants will partake in a professionally guided tour in private, chartered buses to see some of the city's most popular monuments including the White House, U.S. Capitol and Lincoln Memorial. At the Lincoln Memorial, the group will have the opportunity to leave the bus for a short walking tour. The Monuments by Night Tour, sponsored by Dr Pepper Snapple Group and RSA Buying Group, is free of charge to all Fly-In participants.

NAMA is also providing participants a free ride up to $20 to first-time Uber users.
