Monster Beverage gets green light to acquire Bang Energy

A bankruptcy court has approved Monster Beverage Corp.'s bid to acquire Bang Energy out of Chapter 11 for $362 million and settle litigation between the companies, according to a report in The Press Enterprise.

Judge Peter Russin approve the sale and settlement which averts the shutdown of Bang Energy. The company has faced an uncertain future after its board fired former CEO and founder Jack Owoc earlier this year.
