Mondelez Names Mohit Bhalla Corporate Development VP

DEERFIELD, IL -- Mondelez International has appointed Mohit Bhalla, vice-president of corporate development. Bhalla, 45, will lead the food company's global merger, acquisition and divestiture activities. He will report to chief financial officer Brian Gladden.

Bhalla has nearly 20 years of experience in both corporate development and investment banking. He comes to Mondelez from Altria Group, where he was vice-president of strategy and business development. He previously worked at Eastman Chemical Co. and Citigroup.

"As we continue to transform the company, M&A will be a key lever to help us expand our global footprint and focus our snacking portfolio," Gladden said. "I'm confident that Mohit brings all the skills and experience we need to succeed in this arena."
